ECVET in Croatia
The European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) is a European instrument for accumulation and transfer of credits gained through the recognition of learning outcomes in vocational education and training (VET) across Europe. Its intention is to support mobility of European citizens, provide greater transparency and facilitate the recognition of learning outcomes for the purpose of achieving a qualification. Since the official introduction of ECVET in 2009, national teams of ECVET experts were formed across Europe, with the aim of providing beneficiaries with advice and support regarding implementation of ECVET. The Croatian National Team of ECVET Experts was founded in 2012 and has been since supported by the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, the national body responsible for the implementation of the Erasmus+ programme. Besides promoting the use of ECVET through workshops and relevant publications, the experts offer counselling and support to VET providers and other relevant bodies interested in the implementation of ECVET and regularly participate in international workshops and conferences.
